Plan de Actuación 2026
This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.
Annual Programme 2026
The 2026 Annual Programme of the 2025-2028 National Statistical Plan is approved, thus consolidating statistical planning for the coming year. This programme sets out the statistical operations to be conducted during the year and the bodies responsible for their implementation.

Industrial Production Index (IPI)
March 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the Industrial Production Index stood at 1.8% in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series and 2.1% in the original series. The monthly change in the Industrial Production Index was 2.3% if seasonal and calendar effects are eliminated.
Continuous Population Statistics (CPS)
1st April 2026. Provisional data. The population of Spain increased by 97,021 during the first quarter of 2025, standing at 49,687,120 inhabitants on 1 April 2025. The main immigrant nationalities were Colombian, Moroccan and Venezuelan.
Women and Men in Spain
2026 Edition. The chapter on Wages, income, social cohesion, in the Women and Men in Spain publication, has been updated.
Tourist Movements at Borders (FRONTUR)
March 2026. Provisional data. Spain received 6.8 million international tourists in March, 3.3% more than in the same month of 2025. In the first three months of 2026, the number of tourists rose by 2.5%.
Total Expenditure Survey
March 2026. Provisional data. The total expenditure of international tourists visiting Spain in March increased by 5.4% and reached 9,606 million euros. The average daily expenditure increased by 4.8% to 198 euros.
Non-hotel Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey
March 2026. Provisional data. Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation increased by 5.6% in March compared to the same month in 2025. Overnight stays in apartments increased by 1.1% compared to the same month in 2025, those in campsites by 15.7%, those in rural tourism by 4.9% and those in hostels by 15.4%.
